I made this Maester Luwin costume for my Dad to go to SupaNova

I started by making the Maester's chain as a bit of fun and a way to use some scrap pieces.

I used Worbla and foam as well as mixing spray painting and hand painting. The real trick was spray painting one link without getting it on the others.

One I'd made the chain the rest was easy. We added length to the hem of a dressing gown and stitched a strip to one shoulder to be wrapped around the neck.

The costume was simple yet effective and I think Dad really looked the part.
